For those who do not have their own car available or who like it comfortable and informative, various safaris or game drives in the Kruger Park can start directly from our lodge.
All safaris are conducted exclusively by qualified and certified nature guides (rangers) in modern, safe safari vehicles. The vehicles are open all around, but covered. This allows for optimal all-round visibility, a close-up experience in nature and plenty of space for photography. There is no need to be afraid, even if a lion is only 1 m away or hyenas sniff at the tyre. The animals are used to the vehicles with the strange figures in them and do not see them as potential prey or enemies. You can always trust the rangers, they know exactly what they are doing.
In the morning and evening, the light is at its best. There is a lot of wildlife activity for using the moderate temperatures. At midday it is often hot and many animals hide. In addition, a safari can also be exhausting (especially for children and older people) because you sit for a long time and are at the mercy of the temperatures. Therefore, we offer half-day safaris in the morning and afternoon. After your return to the lodge you enjoy a nice breakfast or celebrate a drink for sundowner before dinner.
Unfortunately only a few have the opportunity to visit Kruger Park several times a year. Therefore, most guests want to spend as much time as possible in the park, because with every hour in the park, the chances of more unforgettable wildlife sightings increase. This is when a full-day safari is ideal. At the lodge we will give you all the information and counsel you need on how best to prepare and what to take with you. If you wish we can provide you with packed lunches and beverages, but you will also find various shops and restaurants in the park. If you are planning a safari of several days with overnight stays in the Kruger Park, it is ideal to arrive at our lodge first and let yourself be pampered and strengthened before you set off. After the strenuous journey you come back for some relaxation and recreation.
A night safari is probably one of the most fascinating experiences in the Kruger Park, because at night the Kruger Park changes dramatically. Against the backdrop of a fascinating concert performed by insects, birds, frogs and loud soloists like hippos, elephants and lions, many animals that hide from the heat or from predators during the day become active. However, there are others start hunting for them. Equipped with searchlights, you drive along paths that are closed to normal visitors. There you can see otherwise invisible animals such as Genet Cat, Civet Cat or nocturnal monkeys (Bushbabies). With a bit of luck also the whimsical aardvark or lions on the prowl. Night safaris are conducted exclusively by the rangers and on vehicles of the Kruger National Park.
