How to sustain the Kruger park

We are well aware, that traveling far or even almost around the globe will always have an impact on our environment. But there is also no doubt, that people care the most about whom and what they know from personal experience. Unfortunately nature needs protection and protection needs money. Besides wishful thinking, there would be no Kruger Park without visitors. Each and every tourist makes sure, that this unique wonder of nature will be preserved for future generations.

But it is also clear, that there is always more every visitor can do to leave a footprint as small as possible. Kruger Eden Lodge is very invested in creating an ecological sustainable lodge.

For a while now almost every hotel in the world give their guests the choice of reusing the towels or throw it on the floor for cleaning. But this of course is not enough. We went some steps further. Here is a selection of measures we´ve already taken to get closer to our aim of a fully ecological sustainable lodge:

Full biological sewage system, no fur products, soap refill, options for vegan food, high energy efficiant aircons, water cleaning up to drinking quality, clean gas geysers for hot water and and more.

Every year we evaluate our measures and decide about the next steps.
