Impressions

The lodge is a dream! We stayed at the Kruger Eden Lodge for 11 days. Like the rest of the lodge, our room was lovingly and practically furnished and offered more than enough space for a small family and their luggage. A large, comfortable bed with a mosquito net (!) and well-secured doors and windows ensure a reptile-free zone and thus convey a good feeling. A bowl of fruit and a kettle with tea and coffee and a small fridge complete the equipment. Even a small workspace with free WiFi access is available in the room for long-term vacationers or workaholics. As soon as you are greeted personally by the lovely manager, you feel very welcome as a guest. The domestic staff ensure that the rooms are always tidy and that the facility is kept clean and unobtrusive and very polite. In the morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast on the terraces, which we only took advantage of once because we always drove to the Kruger Park before we got up. But the lodge also has something for early risers. A breakfast package is simply packed and handed over at the agreed departure time. The lodge is just a few minutes' drive from Kruger Park's Crocodile Gate, giving access to an exciting visit to the local wildlife. In the evening you can end the day at the lodge with a delicious dinner on the lodge's terrace, while warthogs, wildebeest, kudu and impala often frolic in the lodge's garden. The lodge also invites you to spend a day there just to lounge on the comfortable seating or use the whirlpool and just wait and see which animals come to visit and can be discovered. We can highly recommend a walk along the fence of the immediately adjacent Kruger Park or, for the children, a trip to the small mini golf course or water slide facility in Marloth Park. We felt very comfortable in the Kruder Eden Lodge and had an unforgettable holiday. The descent was very difficult for us and we are already looking forward to coming back.

Stayed at a lot of places in SA and I’d say each place was good to very good. However, this accommodation was the best for sure. I’ll remember this place as it was very close to the Kruger Park, the staff was amazing, the food was outstanding, and the rooms make you feel like you paid a €1000,- per night. They created the vibe of a luxurious accommodation combined with a beautiful touch of nature, as you can spot the wild animals in their garden. Furthermore, they’re closely located to the river, which provides the opportunity of a nice walk along the Kruger Park fence. Many thanks for everything.

Wonderfully quiet location on the property! Fantastic to wake up in the morning and see the animals outside the window. Clean and fresh!
